I've found an old I'm guessing mid 70's Albin 25 Deluxe. 3 cyl Volvo diesel, not sure if it's the 24 or 36 hp. Not sure if it's set up for sailing too. Wondering if anyone has had one or any experiences? Looks like the nice little pocket cruiser I've been looking for. Waiting for the owner to call and set up a look see. Thanks.

Hi
Not sure where you are in the world but there are a few here where I am in Scotland. If it’s the same one I’m thinking of.
Great wee displacement cruisers. I thunk they are Scandinavian built and well made for the harsh waters we get here and around the North Sea. Very seaworthy and will motor along with no effort at 7/8 knots cruising. They use next to no fuel. Most have a wee VP diesel and some have another make I can’t remember. They don’t need a lot of power to push them along. Very efficient hulls.

Despite the age of the ones I know on the lake, they haven’t seemed to have deteriorated any from their original 70’s launch. I think some may even be from the late 60’s but not certain.
Surprisingly roomy in the cabin too. They come with either just a forward cabin or a forward and aft cabin.

Other engine was a Perkins. Just remembered. They were in the original early ones. Better with the VP.
