I have a 2003 115 Suzuki 4stroke. My ECM burnt up. I replaced it but now ( I believe ) the check engine light and alarm are on. The engine cranks up and runs fine but a light blinks and alarm sounds. The engine will only run at an idle. It shuts off when I try to give it gas. I have 4 lights. The first one is not labeled and that is the one blinking, The second is oil third water and forth rev. Not sure where to begin at this point.

Easy. Purchase a factory service manual (your local dealer can get it for you) and it will not only explain what all the warning lights & alarms indicate, but will also include diagnostic charts.

Hi. I’m not a Suzy man at all…but my marina owner is. I remember him telling me a similar issue years ago, that’s quite common. He said that the check engine light staying on and blinking is caused by a few things…but overwhelmingly, most times it’s because of a voltage or poor connection issue at or around battery or anything associated with that.
Either that or it’s needing reset after an alarm previously. You can apparently reset it by taking the lanyard off and on a few times in a certain sequence or something. Have a google.
