My boat has alarms for various reasons and has no idiot light to guide me through the troubleshooting. If an overheat alarm is sounded and I get a continuous alarm can I wire a light to the overtemp. sensors to tell me which sensor is alarming. I have two on the motor and four wires. Are these wires normally open ground wires that normally close after reaching an over set point temperature and cause my alarm to sound? Or are they hot leads that are normally open closing when overheated? That I can hook up to a light and a ground to light when bad? Or can I hook alight up to a source telling me I have a fuel problem?

Seas....the sensor closes and goes to ground completeing the circuit. So you would have to put the light at this point cause the sensor wire going to the alarm is common to both sensors. In other words, you would have to put the light pick up at the wire connecte to the sensor. Hope I said that right..... :)
