I just installed one of these in-dash flasher units from Lowrance, an LCF-1440 LCD Flasher Sonar. The unit has a small speaker, which gives an audible alarm for fish, depth etc, but the thing comes on as soon as I power the thing up and it won't clear.
This is with the boat sitting in the driveway... just wondering is this alarm sounding just because the transducer is not in water?
