1995 200 oceanrunner The Problem I'm having is after running the engine usually about 20 mins 3500 to 4000 rpms I get an on then off alarm . never constant once it starts it will continue but as long as I dont throttle up I can run it all day I've replaced Thermostats so far unfortunatley I cant replace waterpump at this time because the leg shaft is stuck and i havent figured out how to get it off, but after searching the archives ive found that other problem could be my culprit
any ideas or suggestions to tackle this would be extremely helpful8)

Re: alarm Gremlins

If the alarm is relevant to throttle position, it's probably the fuel restriction alarm. IE - if you run at a given rpm for a long way and everything's OK but if you throttle up the alarm sounds, then shuts off if you reduce throttle, that's the fuel restriction alarm.

where would the sensor for this alarm be located and can it be checked, also I cant feel any loss of performance is the alarm a pre warning for possible damage how should I begin to resolve this on or off engine fuel water separator engine fuel filter carbs vro pump wher should I begin

Re: alarm Gremlins

If the alarm comes and goes with throttle position the sensor is working. Disconnecting it will lead to possible piston damage. Find and fix the restriction. It will be from the motor forward to the fuel supply. It could be a pinched line, bad check valve(s) in the bulb, clogged filter, plugged or bad anti-siphon valve (very likely) or a plugged vent to name a few things. Or something similar.
