Is it normal that the sump pumps activate off and on when water is also running. New at this. Help if you can

Do you mean bilge pump? Most marine ac units use sea water for the condenser..if your bilge pump is kicking on and off then you have a leak in the ac unit..

Changed sump to AC unit pump assuming, your talking about the Air Conditioner as title states. If so , Yes the AC pump cycles ON/OFF as the Air Conditioner calls for cool

If it's 95 Degrees in Miami and water tenp is 90 then the ac pump will probably run continuously..
