Just got 16 Carolina Skiff with BF 40 Honda dealer put aftermarket tach in and only goes to 4000 rpms wide open with 2 people and 12 gals of fuel. Dealer told me the pulse setting was not right he had it at 3p tach ilded at 950 but topped out at 4000. He told me to change pulse to 6p boat ilded at 500 and would not go over 2000 rpms. WOT the boat does 33-35 mphs. What should the pulse be set at?
