Has anyone used aftermarket power packs?
I'm looking at CDI.
Are they just as good?

I have a 1995 225 HP Evinrude and I'm losing spark on the starboard bank, when I tap on the top of the power pack they fire back up.

From what I've read they are the best,
their packs are programmable to set max rpm's if you want.
You can also call them up if you have any issues, they are very good.

In many cases CDI is better than the manufacturers equipment.

I've put CDI switchboxes in two mercs, one of which required two. Great product. I would've never replaced it with the crappy Merc boxes. No reason to think they're not just as good in the OMC world.
