Wondering if anyone has installed a Holley Projection (TBI) marine system on an OMC that has a 5.8 Ford with a 600 CFM Holley? Since I live at altitude here in Colorado the starting of the flood monster has always been an issue. I cannot find a good place to mount the O2 sensor that comes with the kit and now that summer is here the EFI project is back on again. None of the other factory OMC EFI systems had an O2 sensor from what I could tell. The cast iron manifolds have water jacket everywhere I can mount the sensor so I am at a loss. Most welders don't want to touch them to install a threaded bung that goes through. Any of old salts have some words of wisdom?

Delete the O2 sensor,+ run it........ I believe there are Settings for that,.. Isn't there,..??

Those Fords are hard to find Manifolds for anyways,....... Not alot of them around,....
Might be Tough finding something Custom like that......

I Agree with the Welders you've talked too,.... You Can't reliably weld a bung into the Cast Iron Manifolds........

Re: Aftermarket EFI for 5.8 Ford SX

Thanks for the quick reply! My concern is that is why I was chasing EFI in the first place is the air-fuel adjustment. I would be left with an electronic, adjustable fuel delivery device instead of a fire and forget EFI that I can lend to my non-mechanical family and friends. They are kind of the reason for project instead of another carb that never seems to work right. Right now I have a Edlebrock/Weber that runs great when warm and if it wants to. Otherwise it floods, stalls and surges.
