Advice on wakeboard boat!

Hello everyone--

I sold my DLXII and I'm looking to buy a large wakeboard boat ASAP. So far I'm really leaning towards the Mastercraft X-Star, Sanger V-230 and Tige 24ve. My budget is $40k so I'm looking at around 2004-2006 models.

I welcome any and all opinions about these types of boats. Does anyone own any of these boats? Maybe there's a better boat out there. Bring it on! Thanks!

I'm partial to Ski Nautique or Supra on the high end, but MB are really nice too.

I don't know. I have a hard time believing you won't be happy with anything in that price range. Just make sure you know what you want and the features you need are in your price range I guess.

If my budget was 40K I would low ball a brand spanking new Moomba Outback V -- that is a sweet hell of a lot of boat for the money!

I ride behind a mastercraft X30 there is plenty of room for people and the wake is really good. The boat has more than enough power to pull people out of the water. I have not ridden behind any other brand of wakeboarding boats to compare it to though. I was told by a mastercraft dealer that the x30 has a better wake than an x star.

Another vote for Axis. Otherwise $40k would get you a lot of Moomba.

Definetly look at Axis, I might be mistaken but I heard they were made by Malibu!

The Axis and Outback V may be in your price point new, but judging by the boats you have listed, you want a little Bling factor when you pull up to the dock.

Personally, I like MB and have a B52V23, and Love it... love the room of the larger boat. The X-star is not a large boat, but when weighted out throws a huge wake... great hull.

I think from your list, you should stick with a high end model, they have lots of features, some you listed will still have warranties... some parts life time. I mean hell, my vinyl has a longer warranty that Moombas Hull warranty.

Anyway, if you are looking for a wake machine with room... you won't be disapointed with any you listed. The best thing to do is seek out people who have these boats and get a pull and a ride on the boat. Or test drive as many as you can find and decide for yourself which suits you the best. They are all nice, but different.

Warranties are great -- when a company is still in business.
