I have what I think is a '94 Yamaha, 15HP, short shaft, manual start. To my knowledge, this motor hasn't been cranked in years and I am in the process of getting it put back together (it came in pieces). I am going to replace the impeller, change the oil in the lower unit, replace the manifold gasket and do some basic cleaning up. What things do I really need to focus on to make sure I get this motor going right? Compression at this point appears to be 90. That's with no gas/oil in the system. I'm not going to try again until I get water hooked up to it.
