I am looking to sell a hurricane deckboat, but i am a little lost. I was considering using ebay motors to list it (its $40) or boattrader and iboats. I live in a remote area and local listings are not very effective

what sites do you recommend to sell on?

Re: Advice for selling boat

You asked for tips on selling.. Since you are in a remote area, pictures -- many of them -- showing every detail of the rig are essential. Set up an account (free) on Photobucket.com and post them out there so people can see the boat. Remember, "clean" sells. Clean this boat from top to bottom. Scum lines, trash in the boat, stuff layout about, and pictures of the boat parked in a field of weeds is not a way to convince people you have a great product. Scrub the carpet if there is any, use vinyl cleaner on the the upholstery, and wax the boat. Use tire shine on the trailer tires and clean/touch up the trailer. Craigs list is a good tool for the actual listing but beware of scammers.
