Adopted Parents

Well, at about 4:30 this am, we became parents again of the adopted kind.<br />We were coming home and out in the middle of the road with none others around was this;<br />

<br />I searched all over for mommy and could not find any other deer at all, let alone mommy.<br />This kid weighed just 6 pounds when I go him home, yep, a little buck.<br />My buddy the park ranger lives on a state park and when Eddie gets a little older will take him there.<br />Oh yea, here is another shot.<br />

Should be good and tender by the next iboats get together. <br /><br />What do you feed a critter like that?<br /><br />raw cows milk or a special formula?

Now that is a coincidence Les....my youngest son and better half came across a dead doe in the road with the little one still clinging on waiting for mom to get up. Well the little girl didn't put up much of a fight so the son took her home and then the next day got her to a deer farm across the river. Sure are cute that small.

roscoe, yesterday it was on baby formula.<br />Today a special commercial blend that is for all kinds of wild critters.<br />Oldest daughter brought it to me last night.<br />Says the Jacobs 4 horns and Barbados loves the stuff so we will see.<br />His weight is up almost a pound and a half in 24 hours.<br />But he is tiny, not more than 3 days old and that bag of dog food it is beside is a 20lb bag so that puts his size in perspective.
