Adhesive 847 alternative

Replacing water pump and calls for adhesive 847. Is there an alternative at Home Depot or Lowes? Thanks

For what, underneath the impeller plate?

The 847 is the old OMC M sealer which was used for years. If the manual calls for it, I'd use it. It's good stuff and really seals good.

I also recommend 847 if you can get it, but I have used Ultra Grey on waterpump bases with some success over the years.

Yeah use the 3M under the impeller plate, and OMC Gasket Sealing Compound on the housing bolt threads.

Adhesive 847 is being used for o-ring under the housing between the metal cup. and also the cup to the housing

Also use omc gasket sealing on the impeller hsg base when you install it. Or Permatex # 3.
