UU – your neighbors in Norway, Kongsberg Corp, recently acquired Brookes & Gatehouse (UK) from the Yeoman Group. B&G makes high-end electronics and autopilots used primarily on sailing vessels.

This is signifiacnt because it places the major share of sailing and powerboat high-end marine electronics under one corp.

Yes, Kongsberg sits on some hig-end marine electronics - among others. There are, however, still other companies in this industry - some aiming at other user segments. Europe's #1 in electronics is Siemens (Germany) who under various brands contributes heavily to the consumer electronics market, health/science, industrial and transportation.

Gathering skill within larger operating units is one way to cope with the demands from a still more advanced world.
