Adding zincs to trim tabs

I will be adding 3" zincs to to my standard size InstaTrim trim tabs. I noticed some boats had them mount in the center of the tab where some are mounted to inboad side trim ram. Which way is correct?

i would put them where your particular manufacturer suggest.
