Here's my stand.

I'd like to be able to roll it from the back yard and into the garage. I'm thinking 6" or 7" wheels from Tractor Supply.

I need to know what to use for axles or some good method to attach the wheels using basic shop tools.

I put some heavy duty casters on mine with lag bolts. When the stand is in the upright position the wheels don't touch the ground. When it is time to move it just tilt it back a little and off you go.

get a rod the size of the inside of the wheels, usually 1/2 inch,, or all thread, and put a bushing on it for a bearing, washer and nut each side of the wheels.

Casters allow you more flexibility when moving it, especially if you have to navigate limited space.

Thanks TD, that's probably what I'll end up doing.

It would be easy to bolt on casters, but I need to be able to move this around my yard which is grass, clay, and rocks.

I use a big wheelbarrow to move my larger motors around the yard, from garage to the shop. And a 4X4 winch on the rafters to haul it up and down. Keep the CG low when moving it and use the right harness for lifting. Plan ahead and save your back and limbs...surgery sux.
