Adding T-Top to new boat

I purchased another boat without a t-top. It is brand new. I am adding a T-Top to it and am curious whether the canvas top should tilt downward toward the front slightly. Another thing...is it likely to affect the boats performance substantially? I've never added a T-Top to a boat aftermarket before.

Substantially - no unless you tilt it way up or down. I have seen them both ways. My Bimini tilts up a tad. If you T-Top has any canvas you probably don't want it completely neutral as it will flap around a lot.
