I have the switch, powertilt unit and relay box from a scrapped engine and am adding it to a bf 50. The relay box has 3 wires, 1 for ground, one for power and I am wondering what the third one is for? My engine doesn't have a connector for it. Thanks

One small wire is for up, another for down. The third is ground. The rocker switch supplies power to either up or down leads, to trigger the appropriate relay. The relays then use larger wires to power the pump.

I am posting for my father in law an he didn't explain it very good so I went to see it. There is a green connector with two wires, a light green and a light blue. I assume they go to the harness and then to the switch on a remote and maybe to a trim gauge. In his application there will not be either, he is using it as a tiller motor and only wants to use the switch in the motor. If he puts power to the green or blue wire the motor will raise and lower without using the switch. I have a BF90 and and tried disconnecting the same green connector and then the side switch will not work either. I tried shorting them together and grounding and grounding individually and nothing. What do I do to bypass this circuit.
