I am installing a simple shorepower system in a boat that preiousvly did not have one.

I would like to find a single gang surface mounted (non-metallic)outlet box to mount a GFCI outlet on top of the interior paneling versus cuttin a large hole in the paneling. Does anyone know of a good source for such boxes and would the box (or backbox) have to be UL rated.

I would actually like to find something made out o teak if possible.

I have found a some Leviton suruface mouted boxes but they do not appear to be UL rated.

Leviton 42777-1WA BACKBOX S/G 1.89" WHT - OneStopBuy.com

Thanks,

You need to instal a ELCI so there won't be a chance of electrical shock if someone is in the water when you are connected to shore power.
It also has to be within 10 ft of where the shore power enters the boat. Don't use Romex wire. Use triplex marine wire. It's stranded so it will flex and not break at connections

Let me google that for you
