What is the best way to add flotation to a fiberglass goat?

Well, you're going to have to take her apart and see what you have first. Pouring in foam blind could cause some problems. Then when you open her up you may find you have other problems that you didn't know about and may even wish you hadn't opened her up or thought about adding foam.

Looks the right size and age to have enough foam from the factory to stay afloat swamped. So,,,,,, why do you wish to do that?

welcome to iboats.

boats over 21' (IIRC) are not required to have positive flotation although some do. So first, we need to know what you are trying to do.

Are you replacing exixting flotation? On small boats people use pool tubes but on a boat your size I'd do it right.

I don't think trying to get a boat that doesn't float to float when swamped would be a waste of time with little likelihood of success.

when a bigger boat swamps, it sinks all except the point of the bow, just enough for a salvage craft to grab.
