I own a nice running 78 Evinrude 6hp and just obtained a 79 Johnson 6hp that has the charging circuit installed.
The evinrude is in much better condition and I was curious if I could transfer the parts required from the Johnson to convert the evinrude to charging.
Parts would be: Flywheel
stator assy.
rectifier
Does that sound correct?
Considering dismantling Johnson and selling parts, it runs but not great.
