Hi there!
I purchased a pedal boat from Tractor Supply in California. Got tired of pedaling and clamped on a trolling motor. Per California DMV, the boat must now be registered. There is a hull number attached to the boat from the manufacturer, Pelican in Canada. The DMV requires a receipt from the seller (Tractor Supply) that references the hull# to establish ownership. I spoke with the store manager who says they do not reference a hull# on receipt. He told me to write it on receipt myself...not getting anywhere here..I know people do manage to get kayaks, inflatables, rowboats etc. registered with DMV when they add a trolling motor...Has anyone had success with this in California??
