Adding a tachometer to my 1976 Evinrude outboard?

Hi folks! I'm restoring my 1976 Ebko tri-hull, with an 85hp Evinrude (model number 85693D). It currently has volt, speed, and fuel gauges, and I'm looking to replace them with the Sierra Sahara 4 gauge outboard set that includes a tachometer in addition to the 3 that I'm already wired for. I'm extremely crafty, but a little lacking in engine and electrical knowledge... is there an easy way to wire in the tach, and if so, how is it done?

Wiring a tach is done the same as any other gauge. Run a wire from the +12 volt terminal on any other gauge to the +12V terminal on the tack. Do the same for the ground and the internal light. The "S" terminal is the signal from the engine that delivers ignition pulses to the tach. That's the only wire that you need to look for and is usually gray and will not be connected to any other gauge.
