Adding a power trim to a 1984 Mercury 90HP 6 CYL

I bought my boat last year. 1985 Sea Raider with 90 HP Mercury 6 cylinder 2 stroke. I ran the serial number on a parts website that I came across. It shows a 1984 Mercury 90 HP with power trim. This engine definitely does NOT have power trim. Nothing to indicate it ever had it either. No switch, no nothing. Not sure if maybe someone swapped out the bracket at some point or if the serial number didn't cross rite. Is there an aftermarket kit I can use to install one? Or do I need to search for a used setup?

TnT was an option, so your motor is probably trimless. Only the model number will tell if it came TnT.

You might find used Merc bracket with the trim parts or look for a used aftermarket CMC or Panther unit. iboats carries new CMC and Panther units here and here.

TnT??? What does that mean? How can I tell if it is or isn't?

Tilt and Trim.

You said "This engine definitely does NOT have power trim."

Does the remote control or dash have a TnT switch?

Do you have anything like item 44 below under swivel bracket?

I am sorry. I didn't read that right. Yes. It is trimless. No switches. And what I have looks exactly like the picture that you posted. Thank you for your help GA

Item 44 is a shock absorber for a non-TnT motor.

So back to post #2.
