As seen in prevoius posts i am a newb and love this forum.

Still trying to eliminate the stall problem, which ironically only happens after the engine is warm and load is applied. Can wakeboard freely for the first 15 mins.

I want to try a new portable fuel tank to try to rule out some things.

I am unsure form the plastic tank how i would hook it into the mecury female connector i have. Mainly because i am looking at photos online rather than in person.

Everything is pointing to cleaning the carbs or fuel pumps, but that is out of my skillset and pretty expensive around here to get a mechanic.

It is an early 80s merc 115hp.

It may well be that you just need to open the low speed mixture screws a 1/4 turn at a time to get rid of the stalling.-----Cleaning carburetors is very straight forward and easy.----Tomorrow is the best day to learn how simple this is !!

I had a similar problem with my 90hp '99 ELPTO. Can you check the engine temp? I found that despite the fact that it warmed up later it cooled down so much that it was difficult to get going. I replaced the thermostat that looked pretty grungy, should have been done for PM anyway I think that it was letting a lot of cold water bypass so the lake water cooled it down too much.

That 1/4 turn thing worked before for me but in that situation it was stalling from the get go, not after running a while. That was good advice. I'd try that before rebuilding carbs. I rebuilt mine but they were surprisingly clean. I run straight Sea Foam periodically.
