Hi. I'm replacing my ignition switch with the MP39760 model. This doesn't seem to have an option to fit a kill switch lanyard.( I'll check with the supplier) I want to fit a switch on the dash. Can you tell me how to wire it up to the engine?

All you have to do is ground it but you have to get to the key switch to do it.

In the key switch, the black yellow wire is a ground coming up from the motor...the black wire is going ground. The man overboard tether is a simple switch.....on/off.

Buy an online tether switch and wire it in.

Here is the back of the key switch.

This kind of ign switch came installed in the dashboard of my 1998 boat and 150HP Johnson outboard. The kill switch is built into it.
