My son's been doing the indian snow dance here in Nashville since the first hint ... only got a few flakes outta' it Tornados to the south of us, and maybe ice by morning ... yikes.

We certainly got the cold in MN but no snow...yet. Expecting 1-2" in the Twin Cities for the commute home. Nothing to write home about though.

It's always a hoot when the white stuff starts falling in parts of the country that aren't used to it.

Coop, make sure you stretch-out before you shovel! :joyous:

Yeah, we're having "another" disappointing winter. I never would have thought 2 years in a row. It's frustrating the sleds are just sitting in the trailer..And, my plow is sitting too. Talking only 2" here too thru tomorrow. On the plus side, it's been making good ice.........

Getting hit with a lot of rain here in WV, but have all ready had more snow this year than in the past 4 all totaled up, grins around 6 inches

We ended up with about 6 inches of the white stuff ... more supposed to come on Saturday. Supposed to have 50mph gusts today, but that hasn't happened yet ... only about 15 - 20 mph at best. Hanging right at freezing so the snow is wet and not blowing. Sure is pretty and got the blower a workout last night and this morning.

Just north of Incoop in the bottom of Illinois we got 8", some got 15".

Guten morgen meine freunde! Okay, that's enough Kraut talkin'.:lol: Yes gentlemen, we got quite a bit of the white stuff here. Never even looked at totals, but I'd say eight inches off hand. The factory snap on cover on the party barge was rent in two lengthwise right down the middle and the pitch poles bent double. The admiral was the first to see it.:facepalm: Fortunately it was on its last leg so I only cried a little. I'm seriously considering getting a metal carport instead of replacing it. If a replacement cover is as much as I think the difference will only be a C note or two. We shall see. Many in the area (us included) lost power Christmas night. We went down that evening, came back up for a few hours, then went down again around 9:00. The bed was full that night. They had us back up and running again at 9:00 the next morning. I have the utmost respect for linemen. Already did, but now I really do. Poor fellas. I know they're paid for it, but still. Sadly many folks are still down, but I'm betting they'll get everyone squared away shortly. Lots of downed limbs and trees, but I don't think anyone was seriously hurt or killed. I've been off since the afternoon of the 24th so we've been having a ball. That's the story here.

We were to get 2-4 more today ... Got almost 8 new inches and snowing again. About 13 inches on the ground after some melting.

4-6" more here last night, we now have a foot or more on the ground. Whoo Hoo, are you "tropical" climate guys and gals reading, laughing....?
