anyone have any comments on a AMBASADOR 5600C-4 REEL WITH A GEAR RATIO 6/3/1 ;OR SHOULD I CHANGE THE GEAR RATIO TO 5/3/1 .LIKE TO USE THIS REEL FOR SALT WATER FISHING ;FLUKE. WEAKS SMALL BLUES.MY FAVOR REEL IS A PEEN. NO#9.THIS GARICA HOW DOES IT COMPARE

Ahoy, Lonewolf. I am a loyal Ambassaduer user. I currently have 5 different models, one that is almost 30 years old. My favorite for the type of fishing you mention is a Morrum 5600. The drag is superior to anything else I have tried, even a little better than a Calcutta.<br /><br />I think I would go for the C-3 for the fish you mention, and the C-4 for faster fish that may run at you.<br /><br />I have only used a Penn 9 once, and consider the Ambassaduer 5600 a slightly better reel.<br /><br />Good luck.<br />Red sky at night. . .<br />JB

I WENT FOR THE C-4 BECAUSE LINE CAPACITY;AND I THOUGHT THE RETRIVE WOULD BE BETTER ;BUT KNOW I HERE THAT THE C-3 WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER CHOICE.WELL I ALLREADY ORDER IT SO I WILL SEE HOW I LIKE IT.GOT A GREAT PRICE FROM BASS PRO SHOPE 69.00 THERE WAS A MISPRINT ON THE INTERNET ;IT REALLY SOLD FOR 85.OO IN THE CATALOG .BUT THEY GAVE IT TO ME ON THE INTERENT PRICE .THANKS FOR THAT REPLY
