Just bought a 24 ft cuddy this summer and had some minor repairs and general clean up before i put it in storage for the winter.. I wanted to hook the shore power cable up from my garage while working on it. I just have a standard 110 in my garage and was wondering if there is anyway i can hook up my shore power through some type of adaptor you can buy.. not really sure what i need.. my boat hookup is 30amp/125.. it there some type of adaptor to go from my garage 110... if need be i could install a 220 outlet in my garage..but if there is an adaptor i can buy, then i'd rather do that.. thanks for any suggestions..

If you go to the RV store you can buy a addapter that will enable you to plug into the 3 prong household plug.

Go to Lowes or Home Depot. Get a 12 gauge extention cord and an L5-30 female end. OR, but a few feet of 12 gauge outdoor extension cord and a standard male end and an L5-30 female end. The L5 connector is pricey though, $35 for a stupid end. I just made my own. Beware, it's not a water proof shore power connection, and the circuit you plug into isn't likely to be 30 amp, so it's not like you can plug in your boat and run everything at once.

Ayuh,... Plugging 220V into your boat will have Shocking results....

It's a 110V system...

You can get the adapter from most Home Depot, Lowes and some Walmarts depending on the selection of RV supplies...
