? about Honda model B75 4 stroke outboard?

Hello all,,my ignition is not firing at all....it uses 2 hightension coils and conventional points and condenser..coils have built in balance resistance(new coils)..When ignition switch is hooked up to 12 volt battery and switch is turned on,,the high tension coils become so hot that they can barely be touched..Can anyone give me a clue as to what the problem may be..I have no wiring info for this motor,, TIA
