What is the opinion of the recent promo with T.O. and the bimbo from "Wifes"? I heard Tony Dungy of the Colts reference the Kobe case, and his take has a lot of merit. Are the networks and the NFL pushing the envelope? T.O. apologized, and personally I think he was blameless in this. What do you think? :eek:

Re: ABC-NFL

All involved have some responsibility for it.

I disabled our t.v. so that we can only use to watch videos. That was about 6-7 years ago. Why? because we have kids and their is know way possible to control what they see on t.v.

When it got to the point where even the commersials were disgusting I saw that their was no hope for any semblance of modesty.

Whats on t.v is what the majority of people want.

That commersial was pretty tame compared to what is on t.v. at any given time.

What I think realy p1$$e$ some people off is watching a show that you know is going to be appropriate for youself or children and then getting suckerpunched by some thing like the superbowl or a commersial or whatever some creeps can slip in.

Bottom line is that most people who watch tv. want this type of entertainment and their going to get it and more.

Re: ABC-NFL

The problem was that it was aimed at an adult audience and the execs forgot that kids watch it too. As a promo for the show, it was appropriate. But it should've shown toward the end when most kids are in bed.

I didn't see anything wrong with it, it wasn't like she was shown nude or anything. It was just an attempt by ABC to promote their "Housewives" show. I see no difference between this and all the Viagra and Cialis commercials that are being played during games on Sunday afternoons, at least this was on at night (except on the west coast).

I think a lot of people were upset at the inter-racial aspect of it also.

NFL= No Fun League

It WAS like she was nude. They went to some trouble to make you believe she was nude.

Very bad taste. It's bad enough that they do it on the soaps, but unacceptable on a sports event.

It was in bad taste, but it was no further over the line than so many other things out there, that I can't see why it would make such a big splash.

Everyone is worried about it infringing on the wholesome family entertainment that they expected to see, which was, of course, intercut with wholesome, family oriented commercials for Beer, (with scantily clad women intimating that drinking is a wholesome and desirable habit), wholesome, family oriented commercials for Erectile Dysfunction Medication, (with warnings to seek medical advice if the medication's effects last for 4 hours), and wholesome, family oriented commercials for Genital Herpes Medication, (suggesting that it is a perfectly acceptable problem, nothing at all to be concerned about.)
