Ok, I live in Wisconsin, and rent a house that has a boat on the property (boat is not owned by landlord-already checked) and I was wondering how to get a title for it? Is this even possible in Wisconsin, and how much paperwork is involved?

If you owned the property, you might have a chance. The landlord might have to try claiming it through whatever abandoned property laws Wisconsin has.

ok, well through some research, I found the name of the person who the boat is registered to, so this whole thread is a moot point, now just to see how cheap i can get this thing.

Get the HIN off the boat and see if it's registered to someone. The land lord may be willing to help you out if its not to much trouble for them

WI DNR keeps really good records of who owns what boat, when it was registered, etc.

For what it's worth. There is a big difference between "Abandon Boat!!!" And Abandoned Boat. One evokes images of people swimming. :)
