Well........

Nearly a year on, after purchasing the Force (125hp 1988) and joining this forum as a bit of a handyman encouraged to try anything, I just wanted to thank anyone who has responded to my posts, and helped and encouraged me.

No-one in Sydney ( Australia) wants to work on these engines anymore. My local supplier just went under ( out of business), so now its up to me. Kind of makes me happy in a way that I bought a Force, it is so easy to work on. I was encouraged at the start of my forum membership to 'give it a go'. And I have, with great success.

Anyone considering one of these engines, or considering doing thier own work, fear not, because the help and advice here is second to none. You will save considerable coin, and get to know your engine as you go.

Great forum, great bunch of guys.:)

Merry Christmas to all.

Thanks again.

Re: A simple thank you

Congrats Justin....and it's not just Australia that they dont like to work on them it's everywhere...I live in Washington....tons of water. I had a hard time finding someone who would machine my force...and when someone took on the job it took them 3 months to get it back to me. Marine shops wouldnt even take on the job I had to take it to pacific engine rebuilders. They took on the job when nobody else wanted to. Props to P.E.R.!!!

M.C. To you too!!
Your right about the shops not wanting to touch them.
The local shops send the Force repairs to me.
My last repair was from Ft.Lauderdale.150 mi.away.
