I bought this beauty last week, and while it's not critically important for me to know the model name, It'd be nice, Any ideas? I know it's Reinell.. but I can see no indication of a model name.

kals custom out of california (rinell) is great at answering questions about there boats.....the have people on the line that have been there for years and more than lilely can tell you anything on that boat.....

Thanks guys! Yes, I'm very pleased with it. Dawg.. there aren't any restorations required.. it's as mint on the inside as it looks on the outside. Sometimes waiting for the right deal does pay off.

It's my first real boat.

To find as fine a specimen as you have found, you have horse shoes up your ***** my friend. And that Merc tower is the icing on the cake. Is it a late 70's?

nope, that's a 60's merc, and a sweet one at that.

It's a 63 Merc 1000. It seems to run fine, but haven't had it on the water yet (all frozen up here!) so now it's the waiting game.

I will check with the reinell folks. It was a long shot that anyone might recognize it.

As an interesting footnote.. the Calgary Boat and Sportsmen Show was is on this weekend, and I booked out of work on Thursday to get a sneak peek. Reinell had a display set up with a number of nice new models, and I got to chatting with an older gent who was manning the station. I got asking him about Reinell and questioned him along the lines of "didn't they go into recievership back in the 70's and then get resurrected?"

I'm thinking this guys just a salesman or what have you, and it turns out he was the gentleman who was instrumental in buying back the name and reviving the entire firm. I thought it was cool that he was still involved in trade shows. And Ironically here I was "schooling" him on the history of the company! Hahaha...Anyways, I told him I had a vintage model and that it rocked as much as the new ones did. (apples to apples of course.)
