I found this on Drudge... a great read and something I wish would have happened a long time ago.

I know movies are about 0.5 on the "It Matters" meter, but dammit, I want to go to the theater and watch a movie about American Soldiers busting A** in Iraq. Doing what is actually going on... not what certain organizations want us to believe is going on.

Good job John Mclane, good job.

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2089-1892675_1,00.html

Sean

Bruce Willis also tried to use his celebrity status to join the Military after 911. Was told by President Bush he would have to figure out another way to contribute.
One of the very few good men/women in Hollywierd!

Re: A new movie

The thing I find most interesting... is this is the first time I've heard of Willis' actions.

A while back I heard a rumor that Willis made a decision to never do an action movie again. He has stuck to his guns and hasn't played an "action hero" role since Die Hard with a Vengance. I wish he'd do another, there's nothing like sitting down with a tasty root beer and a bowl of popcorn watching John McClane go through H-E-Double hockey sticks.

Sean

I don't know, I thought he was sort of an action hero in "Tears of the Sun", and to some extent in "Unbreakable". Certainly not at the Die Hard level, but he has almost always been pretty actiony. If you excluse those Whole Nine Yard movies....

Ahh.. i'm talking about a knock down bloody t-shirt barefoot automatic weapon shooting exploding building car flipping type of action hero. Those ones you were referencing were more of "soft hero" roles where he played the tough, yet sensitive guy.

Sean

Re: A new movie

Fairly twisted article, but getting Bruce back in the saddle making movies that people like is cool. I still watch Die Hard when it is on late night. Funny, action packed and the hero gets the girl. Works everytime it is tried.
