I had my camera with me today to take a few boating pics while I was working on my duckblinds. Noticed this in the parking lot when I put my boat in. This truck was the only one in the lot besides mine. It was parked in front of the dry hydrant. Not that big of a deal but I then happened to notice the license plate. The truck also had a handicap tag hanging from the rearview mirror. I don't know, but I suspect the biggest handicap this person has is LAZINESS! Seems like if the person could make it into his boat from there, he could've parked the extra 10 feet away and been out of the way. I mainly just thought it was stupid, though, and that he could've parked a few feet over and been plenty out of the way. Enjoy the pics,
JBJ;)

What's a dry hydrant?
Sounds like an oxymoron.

Send him down my way, JBJ! Have him get here via the Lake Ponchartrain Causeway and be sure to tell him to speed. He'll think he's Ok because he has that Law Officer plate. The only problem will be that the Causeway PD writes up other cops too - they don't care who you are - you break the law, you get ticketed. They nailed a reserve St. Tammany Parish Deputy and a Jefferson Parish Sherriff's Office Lt. last week. The Jeff Parish guy was even in an easily recogniseable unmarked car!

From what I've seen in my small town, the fire department comes randomly to fill their trucks tanks with water from the local river to fight fires from a dry hydrant like that. Heaven forbid you should park there during an emergency, I'd like to see them tow his vehicle out of the way, and throw the book at him! Better yet, break his windows so they can run a hose through his truck to fill up!

There you have it, Above the law. It also looks like the trailer wires are not hooked up. Since he can park were ever he wants I guess he doesnt need lights either.
