a little outdrive id help . .

Hi Guys, was wondering if someone could tell me which model outdrive I have. I just bought the boat last fall and it's my first boat so I'm kinda new to this. It's on a 1971 starcraft chieftain with a mercruiser 165 i6 and the outdrive is a mercruiser as well. I believe it's a pre-alpha model, however I don't know for sure and want to order a new impeller kit for it since I don't know the last time it's been changed. If it is a pre-alpha, I was hoping someone may be able to point me to the correct terminology because most sites that I find don't say "pre-alpha" on them.

Ayuh,.... It's an MC-1 drive, probably an early model,...

In '71 the 165 was mated up to a MC-1 drive.... which is one of the drive previous to the Alpha One, but there are no "pre-Alpha" drives.
