Re: A good reason to drink whiskey in Canada

I generally don't need a good reason to drink whiskey. A bad reason will do nicely. That aside, hats off to Glenfiddich. A very nice gesture for sure.

Horse blinders? Lmao. How colloquial. The funniest thing I ever saw was the Candian armed forces on manuvers near Parry Sound in the 60's

Colloquial??? Due to your comment, I thought I would bring it down to your level.
What were you doing in Parry Sound in the '60's, dodging the Draft?

.....try to treat your neighbours with a little more respect.....

Here are a few quick pictures of a monument often called one of the most beautiful and poignant in the world. It is the Canadian War Memorial and it stands at Vimy Ridge in France and continues to honour Canadians who died on the Battlefields of Europe in both world wars.
We will be honouring our fallen veterans on November 11 for giving their lives and allowing us to live in peace in the best country in the world.
Canada, has never had a substantial population (30,000,000) for being arguably the largest country in the world but we have always shown up for battles that counted and we have always punched above our weight.
Show a little respect.

Particularly in the Beaver Wars. You boys sure do get ruffled easily. I have nothing but the utmost respect for my northern neighbors. For the most part the populace is very open and welcoming. Now kick back and have a little CC. Being that the population is so sparce I imagine that the reason for Canadians to drink is being lonely. By the way....I didn't know BC had internet.

And we didn't know Central NY had intelligent life. We still don't. Google Canada's "Highway of Heroes", and you will see that we are still cleaning up other people's messes. Show respect for ALL that have given there lives for the life you have.

I will have to decline to comment for fear of getting the thread closed but I am certain that anyone that knows me will have a very good idea what I would like to have posted.

Re: A good reason to drink whiskey in Canada

Having raised one of the largest volunteer armies during WW2, I don't think we have to explain ourselves to anyone. What I do find vulgar is that anybody would joke about the vets from any country. I spent five years in our military and I too cannot say what I would like to but I would certainly like to get you north of the border and see you joke about these things to my face. Might not be too funny then.
