A Gold Eagle 303 question

a question for golden eagle,this is perhaps a strange request, but this year due to health concerns i am not going to put my slip cover on my pontoon boat, the 303 vinyl spray will take care of the seats but i was thinking on spraying my carpet with the fabric guard, i am sure that will work fine but will it make the carpet slick when wet
or perhaps another product in your line i can use

Our 303? Fabric Guard is not recommended for use on carpeting. This is not because it would make the carpet slick but because the product would not be able to perform effectively due to the nature of the carpeting. Carpet has many nooks and crannies and lacks any true woven surface, which is what 303? Fabric Guard needs to form its hydrophobic layer.
