I have not been able to get any numbers from my outdrive or engine (oh and I have the bruises to show that I tried). I have a Trophy 2052 built in 20004 with a 4.3 and with a alpha 1 gen two outdrive. When I pulled the drive this year I found gear oil in the bellows. I have since tried to get everything to do the job. My concern is setting the rolling torque. I have been reading (way too much) that when I change the oil seal (if the yolk does not have a huge groove in it) that I need to relieve the bearings pre load and then torque to a rolling resistance of 5.25 in lb. I do have a bearing separator on the way and just want to make sure that I just need to place it between the two bearings to relieve the pre load then re torque?
