Hey guys just want to make sure iam heading in the right direction iam losing coalant and my oil isnt milky on the dip stick but its getting higher i drain some oil out and it is milky . i checked weep hole and ran a paper clip thru
nothing coming out . compression test came back good 135 to 150 . had hole in the riser thought that was the problem replaced it and still having problems but no steam coming from the back now so that fixed that . is there another way this can happen or is time to pull the head and do head gasket and inspect for cracks . by the way the boat runs great.

i did a little it normally runs at 150 to 160 range one day it got up to 180 running hard then it would back down to 160 . i was low on coalant because of a small hose leak by the clamp. would that be enough to overheat and cause damage ?

Na.... 180? isn't hot enough to damage a head gasket.

Attached is a page from Manual 8 on water in the oil.

Go to Autozone and borrow the tools to do a cooling system pressure check. In the meantime you will want to change the oil ASAP, the antifreeze will damage the bearings. Fill the reservoir and see if there are any bubbles when it is running.
