FYI, I heard that the author, Jean Shepherd, who wrote the screenplay, has a cameo appearance in the movie. He is the irrate shopper in the department store. He also is the voice of the narrator.
This is bad.. 52 years old and I've never seen it.<br />Just heard about it last night for the first time.<br />They were explaing on the radio how it was a low budget movie with good actors but flopped at the box office.<br />And every year after it was a cheap movie (for the TV stations) to show late night this time of year and it became a icon.<br />Maybe I really do need to get out more! <br />Mrs.Link just told me it is a sappy feel good movie (the kind I like) and she is going to try to rent it for me.
I have never been able to watch the whole movie. I have probably seen it all at one time or another. I lose interest in it after about 20 minutes.<br /><br />"You'll shoot yer eye out!"
