Hello, I have a 15' Hydrostream Viper with a 1984 140 Johnson. Does anyone know the best prop for top end? Don't know the size of the prop on there now as the size was sanded off. The motor turns around 6200 RPM at WOT with the current prop at 55 MPH. Thanks.

What is currently on it? Diameter x Pitch

We need to know these things in order to give you an accurate answer, otherwise it will just be wild guesses.

-RPM at WOT with current(also to be sure that RPM reading is accurate, many tachometers are off some even slightly)
-Speed at WOT ---by GPS only!!---
-Weight of normal load in boat plus boat weight

With the info we do have, all I could suggest is maybe go stainless

I am not sure of the size of the current prop, it is an older prop and the size has been sanded off. The tach does read slightly over 6000 rpm at WOT however.

Maybe a prop shop could measure the pitch for you. That boat/motor combo should just about fly. Be careful, but don't let that mosquito beat you!

post a picture of the prop, how high it is mounted on the transom, and your gear ratio. That's a 60mph rig.
