!998 volvo 5.0 Throttle body EFI

Any suggestions on replacing this motor (block cracked due to freezing). Would a 5.7 upgrade be a problem with the EFI? Would the ecm need to be reprogramed or the injectors replaced with higher flow units? Or would the 5.0 efi be able to handle the new motor? The motor is on a 22 ft crownline and a little extra grunt from a 5.7 would be a nice upgrade if the cost is not prohibitive.

The fuel injectors are the same, but the ECM is different for the 5.0L (Gi series) and the 5.7L (GS & GSi series).

Thanks for the reply. New ecms are not cheap do you just recommend going with the same motor?
