'99 Tigershark TS640 Timing cover seal

I have a '99 Tigershark TS640 that both the starter and the bendix have frozen. After some work and PB Blaster, bith are working. So my questions are, is there a more permanent fix for the bendix and starter? Is there a better way to seal the timing cover other than the o-ring (my seal has fallen & is not installed)? I also have about half of a seal for the "brain" box, what is used to fix that?
