99 mercury 9.9 ml thermostat ?

i just bought a 99 merc 9.9 .. from what i understand it has a thermostat, it makes me super nervous the way the water pressure varies at the outlet. i wanna just remove the thermostat to even out the pressure .. is this possible or will it screw up my lil motor??

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... If yer motor didn't need a T-stat, Mercury wouldn't have built 1 into the motor,....

I talked to the dealer today .. he said its all good to go with a new impeller and thermostat, just run it, and enjoy it!

I have a 96 and yes the pee stream will cycle when your at a idle but when you running its a steady flow, it will be fine.
