I got this kicker from a friend and I have a few questions. This will be a trolling/emergency backup for my stern drive. First, it is pull start only and I'm curious if I can add an electric starter. Second and more importantly, I would like to be able to control the kicker via remote rather than tiller. I see honda has a remote control kit and I assume this allows exactly that with the addition of multiple other components. What are the additional components needed? I assume the remote its self, and throttle/shift cables and I should be good to go. Am I missing anything? Does anyone know of a complete kit that contains ALL necessary components?

I do not know what's needed. Mine is a tiller and that's all I need it to do. If you could locate a service manual I'm sure it would have the details.

For a motor that age and that size it would be probably be less expensive to buy a motor setup the way you want.
