I am looking at buying a Bayliner with a 99 Force 150 hrs on it. $500.00 for the boat, motor, and trailer, but the skeg is broken off. Will any other lower unit housings interchange with this one? Also can you get parts for it from the dealer and which dealer would sell Force parts?

That's a Mercury Lower unit and midleg. Different shift actuation, drive shaft splines, and mounting bolt pattern. Definitely nothing earlier than 92 will fit. Other than that, I can not be much help.

Walk Away from the motor.

The 150 hp was only made from 1989 thru 1994.

The 150 hp 5 cylinder was a major disappointment.

Mercury dealers "CAN" sell you parts, but Mercury recently announced that they would no longer support these motors, and many parts are no longer available.

Most shops will not work on Force motors any longer.

If you want the boat and trailer, you can hang another motor on it.

Should be able to part out the motor on ebay for $300-$800.
