Hey All,
I have a 99' Evinrude FICHT engine, and last weekend, I could not get the engine to start. I have no action on the started solenoid (no cranking). By screwing with the throttle, I was finally (after 2 hours) able to start the engine. The engine seems to run fine. I was told by a number of sources that it’s probably the neutral switch attached to the throttle. Any thought out there. Is this switch hard to replace? At this time,. I still cant start the engine.

Also, this engine has an ECU. The self-test passes with no problems, but instead of one beep, I get three beeps. Does anyone know what three beeps mean?

Thanks,

Hfactor
